Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) cold heavy whipping cream
- 1 can (397 g / 14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder (or 100 g melted milk chocolate for a richer version)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Chill the mixing bowl and beaters for 10–15 minutes.
- Whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Gently fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined and fluffy. Avoid overmixing.
- Spoon into cups and:
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours for chocolate mousse.
- Freeze for 4–6 hours for a soft, scoopable ice cream.
Tips
- Use cold heavy cream (35%+ fat) for the fluffiest texture.
- Sift the cocoa powder to prevent lumps.
- For a creamier taste, replace the cocoa powder with 100 g melted and cooled milk or dark chocolate.
